Vichy Skincare

Few weeks ago amazing Chickadvisor sent me this wonderful little package with full size Vichy products. Today I would like to share my experience with you guys.
I received products that are ideal and suitable for dry skin.

Package contained:
  • Purete Thermale Cleansing foam radiance revealer
  • Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream
  • Thermal SPA water

Purete Thermale Cleansing foam radiance revealer

Great product that is perfect for dry and sensitive skin. It's a lightweight cleansing foam, that is gentle, smells amazing and cleanses perfectly.
Pump makes it very easy, hassle and mess-free to use. I like that just a little bit of product gets the job done. It's so easy to use and easy to rinse off.
After use, skin feels cleansed, fresh and looks radiant.
And I absolutely love that product didn't leave my skin feeling dry as a lot of other cleansers tend to do that.

Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream
Here is what Vichy has to say about products new formula (Vichy website):
For the first time, Vichy Thermal Spa Water is combined with 3 new-generation energizing sugars to stimulate water movement from cell to cell for a fresher more radiant complexion. (Hyaluronic Acid: a leading replumping ingredient. AquabiorylTM: patented molecule that is ultra-moisturizing and amplifies the feelings of comfort, softness and soothes during and after application. λ-carrageenans: extracted from red algae, it locks in hydration to keep the water well-distributed.) The formula also contains Shea Butter to comfort dry to very dry sensitive skin. Non-greasy, non-sticky texture for a non-oily skin finish.

Sounds really amazing. I can agree for it to be a great moisturizer for those with very dry skin.
I found it to be little too rich for my liking, especially for summer time. I didn't like it as a day cream. but I was using it for night time though - rich in texture but still lightweight.
Like all the other Vichy products that I have used, this one too, smells amazing. It has a very fresh, but not overpowering scent.

Packaging is really nice! It has a mirror lid, that I find to be a pretty awesome detail.
Cream is allergy tested and paraben free, so suitable also for those with sensitive skin.

I really like the product formula, so I think I will give it another try in fall or winter, when my facial skin will be more receptive towards richer products.

Vichy Thermal SPA water
Vichy's Thermal SPA water is a completely natural, unique ingredient recognized and used in pharmacology for its soothing, fortifying, and regenerative properties (Vichy website).

This water is rich with rear minerals and is so easy to love. I have been a huge fan of "spray water" (not sure if that's how they are called) for a good while now. And this Vichy Thermal SPA water is probably my favorite so far.
I have a dry skin and I'm not a huge fan of those hot summer days. So in summer "spray water" is with me all the time - that's how I can keep my cool on (literally and figuratively). And it's the best way to refresh the face without ruining my makeup.
Biggest difference between all the other ones I have used is that this one actually feels moisturizing. It's lightweight mist but has substance.
Product is allergy tested and is preservative free, so it will have great soothing effect on sensitive skin.
I also like to refrigerate it for a bit, for those crazy hot and humid summer days.

Brilliant Brunette by John Frieda

Those who color their hair dark know the struggle of keeping the color deep and live.
For a good while now I've been dyeing my hair dark brown, so I got very excited when I found out I was selected to test John Friedas Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper hair products via Infuenster's Voxbox.
Here you can see the products I received:

I have been using products for about a month now and I have to say that I really like them.
Smell is so nice - scent will trick you in thinking that you're at the hair salon only your wallet won't suffer as much.

Product texture is creamy and looks a lot like chocolate fudge (don't attempt to eat it). Each product has use instructions on the back that are very easy to understand. For better results in keeping color deep brown along the shampoo and conditioner use the treatment.

You can read more about the products and other people experience on John Frieda (http://www.johnfrieda.ca/en-CA/ProductFamily/Hair-Care/Brilliant-Brunette) and/or Influenster (https://www.influenster.com/reviews/search?q=john+frieda+brilliant+brunette) websites.
Check #myjohnfrieda tweets for more experiences and opinions.

Usually after about a month my hair color fades away - hair doesn't look shiny and color is looking dull, but using John Friedas Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper collection not only my hair color still looks great, my hair feels smooth to a touch and has a healthy shine to it!

I'm sure I will repurchase the products in future and definitely recommend brunettes give these a try!

Photo on the left is taken right after hair dressers appointment and one on the right is after a month using the products. Color still looks great.

Lise Watier HYDRAFORCE

Few weeks ago I received Lise Watier Hydraforce cream via GlamSense campaign.
I have been using the cream since and I'm ready to share my experience.

Lise Watier is a Canadian cosmetic brand, launched in 1972 by Madame Lise Watier. Here is something that the brand says about their HydraForce Hydra-Protective Creme-Gel (from website):

The formula’s effectiveness lies on the remarkable power of Gaspé Algae Extract. A survivor of harsh environments, the Gaspé algae has developed a highly efficient resistance system, enabling it to thrive in severe conditions. Its extract guarantees the skin’s global hydration, transforming it into a veritable defensive shield.

Package I received contained HydraForce Cream and little cute gadget that measures skins moisture level. Cream has gel texture and smells divine - little sweet and very fresh.I measured moisture levels before I started to use the product and retested again after using it for few weeks - progress was visible in percentage numbers and also visually I was able to see the improvements.
Skin didn't look dry, dull, it actually looked radiant. I'm curious to see further improvements.
Below you are able to see the visual proof of product's effect on my skin.

Tested area: Hand

Tested area: T-Zone

Tested area: Cheek
Lise Watier HydraForce Cream is working and provides good results. In addition to that, it's made in Canada and I find it very important to support the local market.
I'm happy I was fortunate enough to be selected for this GlamSense campaign. Now I'm curious to try other Lise Watier products, that I'm sure are as great as this one.

CoverGirl TruBlend

As I'm still looking for that one and only ( little too dramatic, won't you say?!) foundation in my life, I was happy to hear that I got selected for BzzAgent's Covergirl #embraceyourface campaign.

I received the product in no time and was excited to give it a try, to see if CoverGirl TruBlend is my true one.

"truBLEND Liquid Makeup is available in 14 shades and features a new shade matching system. To find your perfect blend, first determine your shade family. Second, choose your number. Coordinate complementary truBLEND products based on your number for a seamlessly flawless nude look that blends in and virtually disappears.*
Shade I picked was Golden Beige - M3.
It's hard to pick one in real life, but task got harder when I needed to make the decision online. After comparing and studying offered shades, I finally chose one.

Let the games begin, I thought after receiving the product (no, not really, I just think it sounds cool).
At first try, I thought that shade was too dark/yellowish for me and I wasn't expecting foundation to be that thick either. I actually didn't like it at first.

I gave it another try, when I couldn't find my other foundation I was using at the time. And I have to admit that my opinion have changed.
Shade actually is blending nicely with my skin tone and I have to say, it is still thicker that other foundations I have used, but after application, you can't even tell that.
Skin gets a good coverage and looks natural. It's not long lasting though. If you have a long day ahead of you, you will need to reapply it.

This wasn't the love at first sight but product seems to be working.
If you're also still in search for foundation and it doesn't have to be long lasting, give it a try. Price is affordable and brand has a lot of good products on it's list.

CoverGirl webpage will help you to find the foundation shade most suitable for your skin tone.
Let me know what are your thoughts of the product if you have tried it.

TelomErase Serum 6-in-1 Multi Corrective

Couple of weeks ago I received Reviv Serums "TelomErase Serum 6-in-1 Multi-Corrective" to try and review via BrandBacker.
I was excited as I always tend to get, when trying out new to me products.
As I have said before, it's like serums era right now and there are so many of them in the market, that it is very easy to get confused and lost. That's why I like to try and explore more, to share the information and find the one that works the best for me.

So here is what I received - couple of sample size (5ml) serum bottles and little thank you/info note that also had 15% discount code for next revivserums.com order. Here it is, if any of you want to give this one a try - T2X5HN.

Reviv Serums company is located in San Francisco California and claims to specialize in novel and innovative clinical treatment serums for skin and hair rejuvenation. By clicking this link here you can find more information about them and their products.

Here is little bit about my experience using serum:

Reviv Serum, as you can see in the picture, is in bright yellow, I have to say, color little surprised and scared me, as most of the serums I have used, are clear or white-ish color.

At first I tried little amount on my hand - I was not a fan of its scent - it was very strong and almost medicinal and didn't fade much. After application serum seemed to absorb quite quickly, but left skin feeling little sticky.

I used it for little under 2 weeks and I can't say it worked for me. There were no visual skin improvements and I didn't like the sticky-ish feel it left my skin with after the use, nor could I get used to the strong smell it has.

Unfortunately I have to say, in my experience, serum didn't deliver it's promises and didn't work for me. But as we all are so very different, it might work better for you or if you have had better experience with it, I would love to hear all about it in comment box below.

Covergirl The Super Sizer Mascara

Little while ago, I got invited to take part in Bzzagent's campaign. This time I had an opportunity to try and rate Covergirl's new The Super Sizer Mascara. Here is a photo of package I received - product itself and few coupons to share with my friends.

I am a huge mascara addict. I can not leave my house without one. I can skip on other make up products, but not my mascara. That for sure is my beauty essential.
Naturally I have my favorite brands and mascaras, therefor I was little skeptical about this product. Also curious and interested to see it perform.

Product is in bold black color and comes in a chunky tube but has a very delicate wand.

This is what CoverGirl has to say in product description:
The Super Sizer by LashBlast Mascara gives you 400% more corner-to-corner volume for full, fanned out lashes. Our amazing Lash Styler transforms even small lashes— just twirl as you apply it to your lashes for an instantly Super Sized lash look. Opthalmologically tested, suitable for those who wear contact lenses.
It really gives you a bold look in matter of seconds. Specially designed wand gets to even smallest and shortest lashes and brings that great "wide open eye" look. And if you want to achieve more dramatic - Katie Perry look, just apply mascara for few more times.
I was pleasantly surprised that this The Super Sizer Mascara didn't clump on me as a lot of volumizing ones tend to do.

Overall I was satisfied with the look it gave me, with mascaras performance and quality. It's an affordable drugstore brand, that definitely lives up to its promises and delivers a good result.
If dramatic look is something you're longing and you're on a budget, I recommend to try this product. And if or when you do, share you experience in comment section below the post, I would love to read what you have to say about your experience with the product.

Wine Aerator

Who is going to disagree with this genius man..

I love wine so I got pretty excited when I had a chance to try wine aerator via Tomoson review site. This particular one comes from Bar Brat. I had my first interaction with the brand when I reviewed their other product few months ago. I wasn't disappointed then, nor am I disappointed now.

wine aerator is a small, in-bottle, hand-held pour-through or decanter top device for aerating wine. These devices mix air into the wine as it flows through or over, increasing exposure to oxygen and causing aeration. They offer an alternative to swirling and traditional decanting (i.e. to wait for wine to breathe)*.

I tried it on several different wines, mostly cheaper and more sour ones and it hands down worked. Wine tastes much smoother and actually much more enjoyable.
It is super easy to use, just put it on your opened bottle and pour. That's it! Really! No extra wait time, nothing. Just pour and enjoy.
I highly recommend to try it and see or I should say- taste the miracle happen.

Click here if you want to read more reviews from people that have tried it or to purchase it for your own discoveries. It's on sale right now, so don't miss out on an amazing deal but even if you do miss out on promotion, this product at full price will still coast you less than most of other wine aerators in the market.

Beauty Is Timeless

Today on a menu I have a 180 Cosmetics Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Serum + Vitamin C. This product found me through Tomoson.com review site campaign.
I'm always interested in new brands and/ or products. So now with serums being so popular I though this would be an interesting campaign in the name of research.

So this is what company says about themselves: "180 Cosmetics Pure Swiss was created to offer the most effective, innovative skin care solutions to women and men of all ages. Its positioning focuses on the premium market, offering three lines of products which are all clinically approved. This brand's products were designed to bring a new approach to costumer's needs, and to be the market leaders in effective skincare, that provided real and visible results."
"Reverse the signs of aging with the highest quality of Swiss Hyaluronic serum complimented by natural ingredients and enriched with vitamin C.
As we age, the body produces less and less hyaluronic acid, thus affecting how moisture is stored in the skin. Ultima Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Serums works to mend that by providing the skin with nourishing ingredients it needs to remain young and radiant. Penetrating deep into the skin and nourishing from the core, this serum brings back elasticity to your skin and reverses the signs of aging while protecting from free radicals."
Serum is recommended to anyone of any age and skin type interested in preserving and maintaining the skins natural elasticity and youthful qualities.
Formulated without parabens, phthalates, petro-chemicals, GMO, triclosan, colors or dyes, never tested on animals, does not contain animal derived ingredients.
Great intro and promises from previously for me unknown company - 180 Cosmetics.

I was excited to receive and try the product, as I always am.
I really like the packaging, it's simple and elegant at the same time. Bottle itself is from frosted glass with some gold elements.
I find it to be little too small though - 15ml/0.5oz. I use serum twice a day and this one I've been using for little less than a month, it has only 1/3 of serum left. That's little disappointing as I can't see myself buying serum every month.
Texture is much like other serum's I've tried. It's clear to your eye, little thick, not too thick though, easy to apply - covers desired area very easily, absorbs fast, has no smell to it.

I find my skin condition to be good and mostly I'm using skin care products just to maintain the healthy and youthful look. So after using this serum, I can't say it erased my wrinkles and made my skin look 10 years younger, because that's not what I'm looking for. Serum works good but there's nothing special or extraordinary about it. My skin is pretty sensitive, so I was happy about quality of the serum, as my skin didn't developed bad reaction or rash.

To put it all together, I would probably recommend it to someone just starting or thinking about use of serums. As the price is welcoming and size is good enough for trial run. This way you won't spend lots of money on a more popular brand serums that also tend to come in bigger sizes, so if the product or concept of serum doesn't suit you, you didn't waste much money nor product.

Ice Balls

This time few words about Bar Brat product campaign I took part via Tomoson review site.
So it's Ice Ball Maker that creates four 4.5 cm ice balls.

So the process actually is very easy and simple, and product box also provides easy to understand instructions.
So all you have to do is to fill bottom tray 3/4 (wash the tray prior using) and then press the top tray into the bottom one (there might be little spillage). After that is done, all what's left is freezer time 4 to 6hours and after that you're good to go.

Ice balls like this will keep your drink colder for longer time as ice balls will melt much slower than regular ice cubes. It will also add style to your drink if I can say that :)
I would prefer little bigger tray though. I would love to have at least 6 or 8 ice ball tray.
Bar Brat also suggest to make coffee creamer balls for iced coffees, mint and fruit balls for sangrias or other cocktails, even popsicles.
Overall a fun and practical product. Great for entertaining guest and would work great as a gift too.

L'oreal Paris Fibralogy VoxBox

I was super excited to receive my first VoxBox from Influenster (free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion). This one happened to be a hair thickening magic box filled with Loreal Paris Fibralogy products.

Fibralogy - word that I did not know prior this campaign. Let me quote L'oreal on this:

"The formulas with Filloxane coat the hair fibre and provide substance from within. The combination of its properties and those of hair allow Filloxane to remain inside for a cumulative thickening effect.
The key is its flexible material. The Filloxane molecule is a three-dimensional structure that has a double balance: organic and mineral.
This property lets Filloxane stick to the hair and create multiple connections. Filloxane is carried by water and can stick to the hair when the water goes away.
Filloxane increases the diameter of the hair fibre by several microns per hair. Over a whole head of hair, this gives the impression of mass."

1) Shampoo - a gentle cleansing base whose texture spreads easily and evenly for effective, lasting cleanliness;
2) Thickening booster - ultra concentrated pre-conditioning booster instantly increases the substance inside the hair;
3) Conditioner - a velvety soft texture that is easily spreadable from roots to ends and softens the hair fibre.

My hair is pretty thin and after pregnancy, I lost a fair amount of my hair and they just never looked like before. Thickness and volume is something I always wish for. So when I found out, I'll be testing hair thickening products I was "all in"!

I love the product smell! Scent is airy, elegant and definitely not overpowering like a lot of hair care product can be.
Shampoo is more or less much like the other ones I've used before, texture and application didn't seem to be much different.
Thickening booster was more liquidy than I thought it would be, I felt a need to use more than suggested dime size, because it just wouldn't cover my hair otherwise. It could be length of my hair or just very runny texture.
Conditioner on the other hand was thicker that I was expecting it to be, almost like a cream or mask. I really liked that. It was very easy to apply it and I needed just a little bit of product to work it through my hair. Easy to wash out. After use it almost felt like my hair is covered with silky layer. Loved it!

I've been using product now for little over a week, still very early in the process, but I do honestly think it's working and has effect on my hair, unless I'm experiencing Placebo effect :)
Don't get me wrong, I'm no lioness, not hair wise anyways, but I see little more volume, that probably is a result of thicker hair. And I'm loving it!

I'm curious to see if using it long term will improve results in more visual manner.
So far I'm satisfied with this product line. L'oreal Paris Fibralogy seems to be working for me. Thank you Influenster and L'oreal Paris for campaign.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

I got this product from Chickadvisor as part of Product Review Club Offer.

I was very excited to try it. As I was so interested in dry shampoo products for so long, but never could decide on a brand and kind. Thank you, Chickadvisor, for offered opportunity.

Batiste Dry Shampoo I received came in nice and compact size. Perfect on a go or great for a trip/vacation.

I decided that today would be a perfect day to try it out as my hair is little oily and could use a hair wash. Instructions read, nothing complicated - very easy to use. Smell is great, I would say somewhere citrus-y. Doesn't have that traditional hair care product scent, that I was pleasantly surprised about.

I will add photo, I don't know if you'll be able to see the difference, I hope you will :)
Overall my experience with it was great and it worked as promised!! I was surprised that not only my hair doesn't look oily they also gained some volume!! Definitely worth having, for those times when your hair needs refreshing and hair wash is not an option!

My best friend was waiting for me to try this product, as she washes her hair everyday, I can let her know now that it works!! Thanks to the Batiste Dry Shampoo, she probably will be able to sleep in few mornings now :)

Recommend!
